Foot Facts …Three out of four Americans experience serious foot problems in their lifetime. Most foot problems are a result of neglect and a lack of awareness of proper foot care. Women have about four times as many foot problems as men—high heels being only partly to blame. Arthritis is the number one cause of disability in America, affecting about seven million Americans everyday. Arthritis limits those affected with the disease when dressing, stair climbing, getting in and out of bed or walking. There are 250,000 sweat glands in a pair of feet which excrete as much as a half-pint of moisture a day.
Arch Supports
Arch supports help support fallen arches and ease heel, toe, ball-of-foot and bunion pain.

Bunion Comfort
Nighttime splints relieve pain and counteract the strain that causes a bunion deformity by gently stretching tight tendons and muscles, while soft foam soothes the irritated area and the molded positioner aligns the toe. Cushions, shields and pads reduce pressure on the bunion joint, reduce irritation between the toes that rub, and help position and straighten toes. By reducing friction and shoe pressure, they relieve pain and make walking more comfortable.

Compression Stockings
Medical compression stockings are a non-invasive treatment that help relieve pain and swelling and restore lost energy associated with venous disease by exerting a graduated pressure against the legs to reduce venous distension, increase venous return, and prevent venous pooling and swelling. The gradient pressure is greatest at the ankle and decreases gradually as it moves towards the heart.

Corn & Callus Treatments
Visco-Gel™ corn protectors cushion and protect while they help soften and moisturize stubborn corns with patented gel that delivers time-released mineral oil to heal corns quickly and naturally. Callus protectors naturally comfort and protect painful calluses, blisters and other foot irritations. They ease pain by absorbing pressure, friction, shock and shear, as well as prevent callus build-up.

Diabetic & Sensitive Feet
Lynco® Bio mechanical Conform Orthotics protect and comfort the insensitive diabetic foot and the hyper-sensitive arthritic foot by customizing to the foot during gait cycle and accommodating pressure “hot spots” for maximum protection and superior shock absorption.
Diabetes Foot Care Kits provide a gentle, antiseptic skin cleanser that is non-drying and pH balanced, and a lipid-rich moisturizing emollient cream necessary for good diabetic foot care.
Therapeutic socks provide protection and comfort for sensitive feet. Socks are available in mild, non-constricting gradient compression, or in an over-sized style, both with an anti microbial fiber or finish that inhibits fungal and bacterial growth and controls odor. Soft padding helps reduce the friction responsible for blisters and ventilation channels wick away moisture.

Heel Pain Solutions
Heel cradles, cushions and cups are designed to absorb shock and to cushion and protect sore heels. Waffle style cups surround and stabilize the heel bone to help prevent heel spurs and to relieve related arch, ankle, leg and back pains. Visco heel cradles give immediate relief for painful heel spurs and plantar fasciitis. They help realign the rear foot and control over-pro nation while the medial extension supports the medial arch.

Insoles
Insoles are recommended for people with diabetes, arthritis and general foot pain and are designed to absorb shock and accommodate pressure points. They protect sensitive, callus-prone areas; improve foot balance and posture; and reduce motion-related fatigue and pain in the knees.

Metatarsal Relief
Metatarsal or ball-of-foot cushions absorb shock, relieve pain and pressure, help prevent calluses, and provide ball-of-foot relief—especially in thin-soled shoes. Liquid gel cushions customize to your feet and massage with every step.

Orthotic Systems
Lynco® Orthotic Systems treat and relieve all types of plantar and posterior heel pain, arch pain, metatarsal pain and neuropathy. The objective of a foot orthotic is to relieve pain. For plantar fasciitis, heel spurs or pain and Achilles tendonitis, the orthotic will transfer forces from sensitive to tolerant areas, control rear foot instability and maintain proper bio mechanical alignment. With arch strain, post-tib tendonitis and plantar fasciitis, the orthotic needs to support the longitudinal arch, realign the rear foot and prevent arch elongation. Metatarsalgia, Morton’s Toe and Morton’s Neuroma call for an orthotic that transfers forces from sensitive to tolerant areas, reduces friction and shear forces and limits rear foot and forefoot pro nation to reduce pressure on the metatarsal heads. Diabetic neuropathy, impaired protective sensation, plantar ulcers and arthritis dictate the need for modifying weight transfer patterns, reducing shock and shear forces, transferring forces from high to low pressure areas, accommodating fixed deformities, comforting and limiting motion of painful joints and supporting and balancing flexible deformities.

Plantar Fasciitis
The pain and discomfort associated with plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis can be relieved with the use of a night splint, which supports the affected foot in a controlled amount of dorsiflexion, gently stretching the soft tissues of the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon while sleeping. This gentle stretching helps heal and re-mold the tissues, thereby reducing stress and pain caused by inflammation and tissue shortening.

Post-op Orthopedic Shoes and Cast Boots
Orthopedic shoes and cast boots help patients resume ambulation as early as possible following foot surgery or injury. Post-op shoes help provide immobilization for fractures, and protects the foot following surgery.

Pressure Reduction
Heel pillows protect heels from irritation and pressure sores. Foot stabilizers and suspension boots elevate and position the foot and heel, remove pressure and help control drop foot. Demi® Boots are a multi-disciplinary system for lower extremity management engineered for the management of heel, toe and foot ulcers. In addition to providing all the pressure reduction capabilities of other boots, Demi® boots also include the Hydro-Cushion® with soft-gel for positive heel suspension that provides maximum circulation to the heel area, and Soft-Wick Lining™ that is gentle against fragile skin and drastically reduces shear force. Blanket cradles keep sheets and blankets off the feet.

Toe Remedies
Visco-Gel™ toe protectors cushion and protect corns, ingrown nails, hammertoes and toe tips with soothing, moisturizing mineral oil that lines the soft fabric sleeve. Toe separators and spreaders gently divide crooked or overlapping toes absorbing friction and cushioning toes that rub. Spreaders help straighten problem toes and can align the big toe to relieve pressure on the bunion joint. Hammertoe cushions help prevent corns and relieve pressure on sensitive toe-tips, and comforts, supports and soothes bent-under, arthritic toes.
