Neuromuscular Disorders

Neuromuscular disorders are diverse, chronic, challenging to treat, and often disabling. They can be caused by many different factors, including, but not limited to: inherited genetic abnormalities, problems in the immune system, injury to the brain or nervous system, or diabetes. In addition to professional therapeutic intervention and management, the use of rehab and assistive technology equipment is often indicated for a wide range of conditions:

Our Staff

The Rehab Team at Knueppel HealthCare Services is composed of highly trained, skilled, and credentialed professionals who work closely with therapists, physicians and healthcare professionals to provide complex specialty equipment to physically-challenged individuals with significant impairments and unique needs.

Our Rehab Techs specialize in providing mobility systems, adaptive seating and positioning, ambulatory aids, environmental controls and products for daily living for children, adults and seniors who are living with the affects of severe trauma, disease and skeletal disorders. Because working with this population base presents many distinctive challenges, advanced training is required. Therefore, our Rehab Techs are credentialed with RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America) and certified by NRRTS (The National Registry of Rehabilitation Suppliers).

We know that health insurance issues are complicated. Our rehab techs, insurance coordinators and reimbursement specialists will verify health care benefits, offer options within the cost guidelines of the funding source, and answer billing and reimbursement questions. We are contracted with most HMO's, PPO's, other managed care health plans and area health networks. We also bill city and county programs and other third party pay sources, and accept Medicare and Medicaid assignment. Our staff is dedicated to providing the most appropriate equipment at all times, and will investigate alternative funding sources when insurance coverage is limited or the client is uninsured. We stay involved with legislative and regulatory issues that affect our industry, working as an advocate for all our clients.
